What are the worlds?

Nine different rules lead toward the history of the crossings and why the worlds were separated.

Books 10–14

Where does the Dot belong?

Origin, home, and belonging stop being the same question. The Dot must learn the difference.

Book 15+

What does the Dot owe?

Being able to cross worlds eventually means somebody is going to ask the Dot to carry something between them.

The rule underneath everything

The worlds come first.

The Dot connects them. The mystery connects the books. The larger story should never make an individual world feel like a chapter of exposition.

Every book ends with the local story finished—and the larger journey still moving.
